My Third New Office

The third time's the charm as they say. I moved into my third office back in March of this year, exactly two years after starting to work for myself. For the first two, see here and here. I just installed the finishing touches, so felt I could now show it. I really like my new office, which is good because I'm committed to a three-year lease so I'll be here at least that long. I'm sharing the space with a knitting studio, Knit One One. I met the owner, Síle, through Vero, who was taking classes with her. Síle (pronounced Sheila) was hosting the classes in her home but was looking for a space to expand her business. The one she found had an upstairs area that would be perfect for a design type person and I happened to be contemplating moving my office to the east bay so the timing worked out perfectly. The scheduling also works out perfectly as well; classes generally happen nights and weekend and I'm there during the day.

Failed Attempt

Well, so much for NaBloPoMo. I don't think I'm capable of blogging that much. I didn't even last three days. Oh, well. In other news, Obama made it! That's such good news. Now let's see how he does with this mess.

Blogger Troubles

It's the second day into my attempt at daily posts and I'm having some serious technical difficulties. I've been hosting my blog on my own website but I couldn't use some newly added features, so I'm trying to move it to the Blogger site and still have the address be journal.natewilliams.us. Things seemed to be working fine but now I keep getting a 404 error page. I can still post though, so I'll add this one in for today. All this so I could have a slideshow on my sidebar. *Sigh*

I'm Game

So, apparently this is National Blog Posting Month, a.k.a. NaBloPoMo. It's also Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, National Novel Writing Month, Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, and National Homeless Youth Awareness Month but I think I'll just deal with the first. The goal is to blog everyday for the month. So here it goes:

I voted yesterday and am happy to have gotten it over with. I fear that the lines on Tuesday may be out of control as a record turnout makes an election day to remember. I'm trying not to feel too anxious but it's hard not to; I'm ready for it to be all over. No more polls, no more attack ads, name calling, or the first names of people followed by their occupation. I am hoping that the 4th will be a time of celebration as history is made.
