Green Card

Vero and I had the immigration interview today. We went prepared with double copies of all the necessary documents plus letters, photos, cards, and other proofs that we have a real relationship but none of it was needed. He only requested two things that he didn't have copies of and we didn't have one of them: he wanted proof that I actually had my own business but I didn't even think to bring a copy of my business license, which is what he asked for.

Overall it was pretty easy and I guess if you have nothing to hide, then there's no problem. He asked some basic questions about how and when we met; checked to see if Vero knew my birthday; and asked if I met her parents on my first visit to Venezuela. That was it and he approved everything right then and there. Vero's green card will arrive in two to four weeks!

Mountain Biking in Moab

I just got back Sunday from over a week of mountain biking in Moab, Utah and a couple days in Fruita, Colorado. It was my first time to Moab and, like most of the southwest, it was spectacularly beautiful. The mountain biking was amazing as well; it definitely pushed the limits of my ability but I think I improved quite a bit in those nine days. And I managed to go the whole time without any serious injuries, which is always a plus.

You can check out the rest of the pictures by clicking on the photo above. And the video below is Jesse's friend Chris riding one of the steep downhills on the Zippity Do Da trail in Fruita.
